This morning I requested to port my number to a Vodacom contract as my contract with my current service provider expires tomorrow. The sales representative Martin expressed concern about any additional fees from my current service provider and with the added advice from the sales manager advised me to get confirmation from my current service provider. When I returned, the sales rep was very impatient and started to raise his voice with an arrogant tone saying that they had just spoken to me and I would be responsible for any additional costs that may be added!!! His poor attitude shocked me because as a consumer, I was trying to get as much information as possible and to get advice from people more familiar with the finer print. I also don't want any unnecessary costs to be added. I asked to speak to the sales manager who said to me that he has known Martin for a long time and he has never shouted!!! Yesterday I was happy with my decision to change to a Vodacom contract, however I never expected to be confronted by a sales rep that cannot deal with customers in a polite, respectful and patient manner. I really don't think that that is too much to expect... SHOCKED!!!
