I recently took my phone in for repairs at Cell C Kolonnade in Pretoria. I was informed that it will take 21 to 30 days to come back. I then asked about a courtesy phone, so that I cannot loose my monthly benefits that come as part of the contract. A lady called Esmarie said NO, they do not give out courtesy phones, which of course I knew was nonsense. I decided to give it some time, and then I called the store again. The same Esmarie answered the phone and repeated the same story until I told her that I know of someone that got a courtesy phone from them. All of a sudden the story changed to something in the line of: "we do give out courtesy phones if we have them". Upon asking her why she told me two different things she became so angry that she even dropped the phone on me. I then reported the matter to the Cell C Head Office in Johannesburg, to a lady called Lizelle, who apparently deals with complaints. She said someone responsible for Pretoria would call me. Now that was more than a week ago. To date, I never heard from such a person or Lizelle herself, who had promised to follow up with me the following day.
