3 month old phone PAIN &!!!

I upgraded to a Blackberry Z10 somewhere in March this year 2013 via the 140 customer care line and the phone was delivered. Although I am extremely happy with the phones functions and general usability, for some unknown reason the speaker now is making a crackling sound when playing music, or when the phone rings. So I contacted the famous 140 customer care line and they advised me to go to the nearest Cell C outlet, they will send my phone away for repairs and it could take approx 21 days to get it back. So I obviously asked if they can provide me with a loan phone for this period? then got the very nice answer, they can give me a loan phone, but not a smart phone and would only be able to make and recive calls and nothing else... wow thanks hey!

Wy is it that a phone can have a problem such as a faulty speaker in just 3 months? Now I need to run around and have the inconvenience of having and paying for something I cannot use. Surely there should be some form of replacement warranty etc? Looking at the phone you will see that there is no scratches or anything else wrong with it!

Is this the sort of Cell C service I can expect in going forward?
