The business phone lines of our Elandsfontein branch have not worked at all since Friday. We were originally told it was an area problem & not to report the lines individually as it was a 'bulk' problem. The lines were still dead on Monday. On follow up, we were advised the fault had not been logged individually and to log the fault under our main line number. On Tuesday, 1 line was working and we were then told all the lines had to be individually reported? The technician eventually came out on Wed only to tell us the problem was at the exchange box down the road and this problem was not within his division nor did he have access to the keys. Many businesses in the area have experienced problems for a while with lines and it appears the box has still not been repaired or maintained. There is no contact number to report this fault to and after nearly a week, our lines are still not working. As we are in the service industry, this obviously has dire consequences for our company. No one at Telkom seems willing to help? On numerous occassions, the technicians refuse to leave their name so that we do not have their contact details when the problem is not resolved??
