I have contacted telkom multiple times with the same issue and each time they tell me its my ISP. i have different ISPs and tell them its not the issue but they insist that the problem is not with them. my line disconnects randomly and when its connected the latency is constant 100 - 200, this started happening about 2 months ago when my line disconnected for the first time and they had to fix it at the exchange. when i spoke to the technician i told him about the latency and he just said yes, no its fixed. it was not fixed. when i asked him where is the closest exchange he said he doesn't know as he is in Pretoria. Pretoria is roughly 110km away from where i live so what did he exactly fix? i have phoned countless times. did everything i can but still i'm sitting with this issue. I'm paying for a service which does not work its advertised. If this is not resolved soon i will report it to ICASA, not a threat but i'm done asking nicely.
