Due to employment migration I was unable to pay for my mtn account for a few months. My account was handed over to the MTN legal team. This month of May I was able to settle the whole amount on the 10th. I paid at the MTN Northgate branch and the attendant advised that I should wait 2days for the payment to reflect so that I can access my sim.(I wanted to do a sim swap since I can't find my original simcard). I went to MTN WOODMEAD branch last week and tried to do a swim swap again. The attendant told me that the account is still handed over and I asked why since I had paid already???!!! and it was already a week. She called the legal department and I spoke to a lady who said everything will be sorted by Thursday 23rd May (today) so I can finally swap and use my sim card/number. I went again today and still nothing was done??? The attendant at woodmead said my account is still with Legal! we are in the 3rd week now! Funny thing is I received my statement which reflects the payment yet I still cant swap and use my SIM because its still with Legal! Is anyone doing anything about it at all? because this is becoming frustrating!
