Illin on NON active line after request was made

Dear MTN! Iam truly hoping this time i will get help from you guys, my account was handed over to legal, i have paid the full amount and settle all cost with you guys! i was told as soon as that payment reflects in your account after 3 to 5 working days, i should give MTN a call to close my line, i have done so now a few months later i get sms that i still need to pay up my account which i called in to your legal department, i was told i should ignore those sms i the system does show i have paid up the account and the line is closed. NOW! a year later the sms continues again i called in to your legal department again and requested for a settlement letter to have prove of this, i was shocked to be told that my line is still active and therefore i am still billed on a line that i am not using, i spoke to a rude guy buy the name of ronzley du plesse who told me he cant take my word as prove that i called in when i informed him i do not recall the name of the lady i spoke to and he should pick it up on the system, Firstly how possible is that a line is billed and is not being in used? Secondly why is that i was never contacted regarding this issue? i am not taking any responsibility of Such!
