I purchased Blackberry handset at Randburg outlet of Altech Autopage in Oct 2012 to replace a phone. This was a cash purchase. On 13 March 2013 I handed my phone in for repairs as it was faulty. I provided proof of purchase at the time as the phone is still under warranty. After waiting over 2 months for my phone to be repaired I emailed Altech autopage to enquire about my phone and they advised it was ready for collection at their Randburg branch. When collecting phone today I was informed that they had NOT repaired the phone as it is a Virgin mobile handset. Apparently there is a difference when purchasing the phone on a contract or cash. My question is why should we as clients be inconvenienced by this. As an altech autopage client for over 10 years and having purchased the phone from them why could the phone not be repaired. I am appalled at the service and lack of feedback from any employee of Altech. As a loyal client of Altech Autopage this is not the kind of service any client should receive. Shocking!!
