Vodacom
7 day replacement policy not honored

Telecommunications

On May 4 2013, I went to Vodacom Shop, The Bridge for an upgrade. My specifications to Chris (the consultant) was I required a handset with good quality sound, good camera and GPS. He recommended Sony Experia Go. I agreed and upgreded from a R135.00 pm to a R169.00 pm contract. I accepted. He highlighted the terms of the agreement, including 7 day replacement policy. I accepted.

After trying most functions, I experienced a problem with the recording a note option. Very scratchy, crackling and extremely poor quality. I returned the on Monday 6 May. Chris checked and agreed there was a problem. He made out an OBF and said it would take about 3 days and would call me Wednesday 8th. I had to phone him on Friday 10th. He informed me the phone was returned not faulty but sent it back as the problem was still there. Once again the phone was returned not faulty. Handset was checked by store but still faulty, and would have to be sent back again!!! Not happy and asked to speak with the manager. I was put through to Rochelle to whom I explained my concern and frustration. She said she was aware of the problem, would investigate and call me back. As at 11:30 am 17 May, Not resolved???
