Incorrect Handset with Known Problem

Telecommunications

On Sunday 12/05/2013 we renewed my Grandmother's contract at the President Square Store in Krugersdorp.
During the handset selection process we very specifically pointed out to the consultant that we are looking for a handset that has a large font size and is easily legible as my Grandmother is 75 and has problems with her eyes. The phone with the largest screen available was the Nokia Lumia 610 and we were informed that it would be the best as the larger screen means bigger letters. Unfortunately when we got home we discovered that the font size of the letter and numbers was extremely small. I contacted Nokia South Africa who informed me that the Nokia Lumia 610 has no option to enlarge the font size, this is a known "problem" with them that people complain about the small (unchangeable) font size, but nothing can be done about it. The store now refuses to exchange the handset because it is not physically defective, we are of the opinion that the phone has a known defect and should be exchanged for a more suitable handset. We were wrongfully informed by the store consultant that was made fully aware of the requirements. Assistance from MTN Sales Management will be appreciated
