Prior to reporting this fault. Subscribed for 4Mb (online test indicated that it was possible to deliver this speed to my home) and had to downgrade to 2Mb because best possible to my home turns out to be 1.7 Mb (due to old copper etc.) with no prospect of line upgrades to improve on this.
From the day of reporting this fault [296801/309024] (via the web because 10210 is real torture); initial response to the call was speedy but with many tests, complaints, re-opening the call after it was claimed to have been resolved etc. the best I get now is a shaky 1.3Mb, and there has been no feedback to me why the service has now further deteriorated.
Trying to phone 10210 option 1 etc. either ends up with having to listen to the orchestra forever, or the call drops at some point whilst wading through the options to actually connect with an agent. The online method results in an automated responses 'loop', but never anyone to actually to communicate with to follow up with on progress. The 'contact us' email on the web results in the same. There is just no one to escalate this to.
