I queried about the steps in moving my ADSL line to a new area I'm moving to. Simple request... Now, I've dealt with one before at Telkom, whom goes by the name of Richard. That was a very bad experience, since he clearly has no idea what the internet is, how it works, or how Telkom works. To my amazement the same responds to my query about what the process is that I should follow. Below is the response I got:
"Thank you for emailing Telkom Internet Technical Support.

Unfortunately the Telkom Internet Support Desk is unable to assist with analogue, ISDN or ADSL line/infrastructure related issues. For analogue and ISDN, kindly contact 10210 option 1 and then 1 again for fault reporting."

Now first of... I don't ever want to deal with this incompetent person again! Secondly, if the Telkom Internet Support Desk is unable to assist me with an Internet related query, the WHY THE does this department exist???!!! 3rd: I must now wait in a queue to phone someone to log a fault?! This is NOT a fault I'm inquiring about!!! Either this guy is too lazy to help or unwilling to learn how things work, or he is plainly just passing the buck and wasting my time! Please fire him!
