SUR-CHARGE QUERY - RIPPED OFF ONCE CANCELLING A CO

CELL NUMBER : 0761415157 - We have enquired about cancelling our Vodacom contract three to four months before expiry and enquired what was needed to cancel. We were advised by the Vodacom customer care in Gateway as to when and how to cancel. Which we followed accordingly. We also went again to Vodacom in the 2ND LAST month of the contract to confirm what was due on the account... The debit order had gone through at the last month.
We get a statement stating that we have to pay R49.00 which is outstanding, which was fine. We go to Vodacom yesterday to pay the balance and we are told that we have to pay R149.OO.The service attendant just says that it is handling fees, which could not be explained to us... even enquired with a "manager" in charge who still couldn't explain to us the charge. Was told to call Vodacom during working hours to get a proper explanation. Which I think is pathetic... why have a customer care centre that still can't help you... We paid the outstanding amount in full. Will never use Vodacom again because of the lack of communication and proper explaination on their billing...
So please check your Vodacom billing before paying... or you will be ripped off...
