Shortly after taking out my contact at MTN my Blackberry 9800 was faulty.
I returned the phone after standing in a queue for about 45 minutes (at Cavandish Mall) I was finally attended to. (Bad service from consultant) I waited a couple of weeks to get feedback from MTN. I had to call repeatedly to get some feedback.
I was then asked to come to the store to collect my phone. They then replaced my 9800 with a second hand refurbished phone which I felt was unfair seeing that I am paying for a new one.
Last week the second (refurbished) phone also packed up. I took the phone to Blue Route Mall where I was told by a MTN consultant to take the phone to a local repair shop to have it looked at (suspecting the battery).
I have tried to get hold of ANY MTN store in Cape Town and have tried every number in the telephone book and NO answer.
I reached head office and was promised feedback and I am still waiting for a call. When i got through to Cheryl after a debate on the phone she told me she was old enough to be my mother and put the phone down in my ear!! I appalled at this shocking service from MTN!!
Definitely will NOT BE RENEWING MY CONTRACT
