From 20/12/12 to 8/1/13 i was outside SA and i was roaming with my Mtn contract. I mainly used BBM and Whatsapp hoping it will cut my costs, only to be notified after getting a huge bill that these services are billable while roaming. Fair enough now i know.

However my biggest complaint is that Mtn even allowed my contract to go beyond its limit amount without even notifying me; I was shocked to get a bill 3 times my contract limit. Mtn's explanation was that when one is roaming, they can not keep track of call charges. However this is not true because on 26 Dec they sent me an sms saying i had used 90% of my limit of R5000 and on 6 Jan my outgoing call service was suspended as i had reached my R5000 limit. I requested Mtn to call me back which they did and we agreed to raise my limit to R5500, only to receive a bill of R15334.23 on 22 Jan. I tried to resolve this with mtn on numerous occassions (Ref 97380658, 96761895, 96818296) and even reported them to iCASA who gave them 14 days which have expired without a response. Every month they attempt to debit my account despite the matter still pending and they have suspended my number and still bill me monthly charges.
