Can't get a hold of a consultant!

I called telkom and my account was suspended, I was told that no more charges would be added onto the account. I called the call centre on the 30/04/2013 and was transferred to the cancellation department. I held for a total of 2 hours. I finally got through to a consultant in the cancellations department. I was told that the account had the line rental fees added on to it, but it was suspended and I was told no more charges would be added on to the account. I have finally had the account cancelled and good ridden, I was going to have a pre-paid line but I don't think that is a very good idea!
