Good day
Over a year ago I signed up with Planet Fitness. This was not my first contract with the company so I knew exactly what I wanted. Fast forward to a few months later, I noticed additional debits going off my account. After numerous queries via the Planet Fitness website (no responses), call centre (no one answers the phone), the Wanderers branch and finally about 6 visits visits to the Rosebank branch (where I signed up) - I found out that the debits were for group personal training (which I never signed for), it took numerous phonecalls and visitis to get this info. Just to cancel the debit odrer took 3 visits over 3 months! In between all of this I had to retell my story to everyone I spoke to at Planet Fitness - incl. a new manager (the old one didn't keep records of my complaint). Then I got to see my contract - it was completed by the salesperson, there was TipEx in the group personal trianing section - signature was forged in this section and another. After submitting my bank stmnts I was told this would be investigated with the head office. About a month ago I was promised a refund telephonically by the manager. I'm still waiting. No one is returning my calls.
