ILLEGAL DEBIT ORDER & REFUSAL TO REFUND FEES

I signed a contract late Dec 2012, and canceled in terms of my cooling-off period, stipulated in the contract, as well as the Consumer Protection Act. I sent the cancellation in writing, to the email address specified in the contract, and provided them with the contract number. I also advised the sales consultant, Marc, of the said cancellation telephonically. I further sent emails to the Head Office via their web site, requesting my refund. These emails were sent to the email address of the sales manager as well. This was on 2 January 2013. Nothing was done and eventually i had to complain. My complaint was sent by Ryno to Lynden and I again provided my bank details. Sure as nuts, they proceeded to strike a debit order on my bank acc for the amount of R395.00 on 2 Feb (this is in addition to my yet to be refunded joining fee of R300.00). Lynden gave the poor excuse of only having received my cancellation after 20 Jan, this is untrue. Now I have no other choice but to file a criminal charge of with the SAPS. Today, I spoke to Lynden, who is of the opinion that it is not his problem (refused to take ownership of the problem) and that Head Office must sort it out. UNACCEPTABLE!!
