COMPLAINT RE CENTURION GATE PLANET FITNESS:

As of 1Jan'13 I have been with Discovery. 28 Jan'13 I went to Centurion Gate & was assisted with the necessary paperwork to change my contract to Discovery Vitality. I asked the consultant if possible to stop my debit order, meaning on 1Feb I won't be deducted the monthly fee from the old contract & the activation fee with Vitality. The consultant was unsure & asked finance. Finance (either Thabiso Molepo or Getrude Tidimane) told the consultant they will be able to stop the debit order before 1Feb. 1Feb my bank account was debited with the Vitality activation fee & the monthly fee from my old contract. Having been given incorrect information I took it up with the club & the matter was referred to Lynden De Wilzem. Lynden in writing let me know that due to miscommunication I will get a refund. He told me paperwork will be done & I am to receive my refund with the next debit order run 1 March. 1March came & went & I received no refund. I have been emailing almost every day for the past 2weeks & struggle to get a response from Lynden. I have been left with no option but to lay a complaint. It is unacceptable that it has to take a month & half to receive a refund.
