New Classic Alice Lane, great gym worst restaurant

The Virgin active classic in Sandton has finally opened whilst Melrose is undergoing its renovation. Since Kauai took over at Melrose, the restaurant which was brilliant has become pathetic with management promising the world after renovations.

After being at the gym since it opened, I decided to try The brand new Alice Lane club. I have to tell you, the new and shiny Kohu restaurant that we have been promised at the post renovation Melrose club absolutely stinks.

The only part of their menu that is slightly decent is breakfast which from 11:31 is strictly unavailable. Their salads which are about 70 bucks are minuscule ie a ceaser salad is made up of approximately one cut up lettuce leaf, 30 grams of chicken and 3/4 sliced croutons. This for a post workout meal is pathetic.

The service is even worse than their portions. They have an account system where you pre-deposit money but when it comes to using it, there is always a reason why it isn't working.

If you are in a hurry, keep away, they are incapable of getting your order done in a vaguely timeous manner.

In essence, their slow overpriced menu is definitely worth skipping.
