Massive price increase

Virgin Active Melrose Arch is under construction at the moment with a massive renovation that is costing in the tens of millions. They have had great advertising around it making sure that everyone was excited about it, and I was... emphasis on the WAS!

I have just received an email telling me that my gym fees will be going up by 18.5% in 2014! Are you kidding me? They have decided to renovate and without any consultation have decided that the customers must fit the bill in a massive way.

I understand that I am purchasing an exclusive product, but is that any reason for a company to be completely ridiculous with their pricing?

I am very VERY disappointed! I have constantly recommended the Melrose Arch gym as over the last 6 months it has been a pleasure, I will not be recommending them in the future!
