What would have initially been a complaint has turned into a compliment.

I canceled my membership with the club in February 2013, paid the cancellation fee and got a cancellation reference only to discover that the subs will still being taken from my account in the following month. I brought this up with the local account manager who led me to believe his hands were tied as he was waiting for Head Office approval. I left the matter.

I stopped the debit order but then received text messages stating that my account was overdue. In June, I was whacked with a debit order for the intermittent period. I discussed it again with the local branch manager who again assured me that the matter was being attended to but received little to no feedback from him.

I decided to contact the Head Office directly where I was put in contact with Mr. Ramokwela who responded to my query efficiently and professionally. It was explained that an administrative oversight on the part of the local club indicated that the contract was still active. Mr. Ramokwela provided me with feedback and a resolution within a week.
