Poor management and poor service

I bought a fan from Jet Mart Midrand at The Bolders Mall on the 16.02.13 to find out it was an OBF and did not return it as the box and slip said it can be return within 12months, i then retuned it on the 30.03.13 and the Manager Mr Strength told me he will have to fix it as it was easy to fix and will not take him long to do so, i refused and asked for new one or if he could credit it, he said he will not do so as i took long to return it and " their policy" have changed and he can't give me a new one or credit me the amount. I then asked him to give me the new policy they have so i can read it myself as the box and slip has a 12 months guarantee, he then call one of his manager and explain the situation to him and told him to give me a new one, and he did
What makes me mad is the poor service they have and the lack of information the manager has, how can the store manager say the policy have change and have nothing tangible that say so? I'm still not happy with his service and product due to their lack of info. i still don't want their product as i know they will give me a problem when they must help.
