Wrong information

Yesterday i went to Jet in Centurion to buy pampers for my baby. I walked to the tills and asked the lady to check whether i have enough buying power. She told me that i could buy for R754.I went in took the item and went back to the tills. Imagine my shock when she turns around and tells me that i wont be able to buy as my acc is over limit. I asked her to check if i cant buy on my daily limit and the answer was no. What i dont understand is why she told me in the first place that i could buy and now suddenly i cant. The older lady with her said i will have to make a payment of at least R120.I mean would i have gone to Jet if i had the money to buy the pampers cash in the first place. Either there is a limit or not and they gave me the wrong info by telling me that i could buy for R754.I left feeling so angry and bad for not being able to buy for my baby. Im a long time customer of Jet but yesterday i was really upset with what happened and am thinking of closing this account as i am busy reducing my debt.
