Poor service after Ipod breaks

I bought an IPod Nan slate 16GB and it broke.

I returned it on the 22/12/2012 and received terrible service. I had to make multiple calls and leave messages. It took weeks to receive feedback and when we did we had to go all the way to Maro and the goods were not ready because no-one had bothered to check that all the stuff we submitted was returned. The headphones were missing.

We then patiently waited only to get the same treatment of no-one following up.

I eventually contacted a manager who assured that said she would personally handle things and then I never heard from her again.

Staff were rude to my wife when she called to check again as this is now the 7th week Makro has had our device and 3 of those have been because they could not organize for a pair of headphones to be returned from the people who repaired it.

According to the Consumer Protection Act sections, 55 (2) we have the right to receive good quality goods and according to section 56 (2) if the goods were to break within 6 months we should either have it repaired or a new item returned to us at our direction.

It has now been almost 7 weeks and I have had enough. My reference no for the return is 2124117.
