Not Checking Repairs carried out correctly

I took in my iPod for repairs as it was causing the left hand channel on 3 different headphones to malfunction. Today I went to collect the allegedly repaired unit. I 1st had to wait 30 min for them to find the item. Once it had been found I discovered that the only thing that had been done was to replace the headphones. I informed them that the repairs had not been carried out as specified on the job card. It then took another 20 min to decide what to do next. When I phoned to find out the status of the repair I am put on hold for about 5 min, which is costly especially when I have to call from my mobile phone.

When an item is returned from been repaired it should be checked that the work carried out is what is mentioned on the job card.

I do not want the item sent in for "repairs" again, as it is only 2 months old and I fear that I will be plagued with continuous problems for the life of the product.

All I want is my money back now and I vow never to purchase an Apple product again.
