I had a problem recieving a refund on my settled account in January 2013
After making numerous share calls, eventually I was promised my refund and apology letter and gift card
To date, no correspondence from the CEO office
My last email refers

Our telephone conversation earlier refers. As discussed, our systems are down due to an outage for the last 48 hours and therefore, we are unable to finalised your refund.

We made the necessary arrangements to transfer your funds (R500.00) immediately once our systems are online again. We will issue you with an apology letter and a gift card as a token of our regret for the inconvenience experienced.
