2nd hand chair sold as New

I asked the shop specifically to deliver a brand new chair, but they delivered the showroom demo model. (seems to be common practise nowadays to try and pass of old as new)

The wheels looked very worn - even the driver agreed. The manager finally agreed it was the showroom stock, but tried to cover it by saying he doesn't know how it got on the palet. Would rather he was honest. Now I'm having trouble getting a proper new one delivered with manager being rude. Why pull a fast one on customers??
