Staff dont understand Scan Right Policy

I frequent the Pick n Pay at Heathway Centre in Johannesburg after work almost everyday to buy my groceries. Yesterday I bought a chlorine floater which was marked for R55.99 and only realised after I had paid that they charged me R59.99. I then queried this and the cashier proceeded to refund me R5.00 which I said was incorrect as the policy is that you will receive the product at the marked price and double the difference back. I stood there for 25 min which 4 staff members around me non of which knew how to work this out and I even had to write down my calcuations on a piece of paper!!! Eventually one of them went to the manager who told them I was to be given R12.00 refund (which was correct). Why are your staff not trained on your company policies? A complete waste of my time, I got home late and had to scramble to start dinner and get my kids bathed etc. Never mind the frustration of a client arguing with the employees and ME explaining to THEM how their policies work!!
