Scan Right Guarantee (SRG)

I purchased 3 x McCain Oven bakes earlier today. The promo price was R19.99ea. So, I get to the checkout and pay. I then realised that the payment was a little off from my manual calculations (done in my mind as I shop). I have a look at the till slip (after packing some of my own groceries as there was no cashier assistant), and the fries were charged at regular price of R26.99ea. I then questioned this with the cashier who called Cirnoria for assistance. Cirnoria took in excess of 5mins to confirm the price, noting that the open-freezers were about 10m from the cashier.
Cirnoria returns and confirms that the price is incorrect.
I then remarked: "Ok, so now the chips are free because of the Scan Right Policy! " to which Cirnoria replies: "No. The old man stepped down and now the son took over so he is changing everything. That policy is old. We only do cash reversals now."
I was very surprised at this and asked her again to which she responded in a similar fashion. She then proceeded to give me a cash refund of the difference.

i just checked the PnP website and the SRG is there, clear as day, under Customer Communications.

I demand a full refund, an apology and an explanation!
