Pick 'n Pay
Pick n Pay Woodmead - Attitudes/ Policy Awareness

Shops, Products, Services

I often go to Pick n Pay Woodmead to do my grocery shop. While there, I have purchased two (2) relatively inexpensive items (on two different occasions) that rang up at the incorrect prices. Usually Pick n Pay gives you these items for free (as part of their policy to have the correct prices displayed. In this case, I was treated rudely and dismissivley by the supervisor who indicated that the policy applies to barcodes and not if the incorrect price is (prominently) displayed on a stand in the shop. I called the shop to complain to the Branch Manager who seemed decent enough and said he would address the staff about the policy but when I went back to the shop today (to purchase groceries and to rectify the mistake), I had appalling service from Gladys at the so-called "Customer Service"desk. In frustration, irritation and on principle I returned the goods (which I was actually supposed to get for free). The manager clearly seems to have no control over the rude, wayward staff in this store and clearly they do not understand the policy. This is not about getting something for free. It is about the principle, rudeness and having policies that you do not ensforce.
