Pick 'n Pay
How Pick n Pay Cons people

Shops, Products, Services

I took a quite a few packets of Willard's chips marked R6.99, and a few Nestle chocolates that was marked to R8.99 I notice the prices scanned wasnt the shelf prices.the chips was scanned at R8.99 and the chocolates at R10.99. When i asked about this, the cashier just lifted her arms saying she doesnt know the shelf prices and called the manager "Sarah". Sarah explained to me that there was a national price error and that they informed all the cashiers about this, to which the cashier replied she wasnt aware of that. I remembered about the Pick n Pay policy, that if you item scanned is not the same as the shelf price, that item is for free, and any other additional items is at an reduced price. When I asked the manager about this she first didnt want to confirm that this is a Pick n Pay policy, when I asked again she said yes that is their policy, but that, that policy doesnt work for this particular day. What kind of a policy only works when it suits you? As far as I am aware, if a company has a policy in place, especially a written one on their website, not even a manager has the right to break such a policy. To make matters worse, Sarah was just plain rude mannered
