Pick 'n Pay
Manager's bad attitude and scan right policy

Shops, Products, Services

On 28 Sept I visited Pick n Pay Hypermarket to purchase a TV that was on special. The Tv was marked at R3699, 00 and this has been confirmed via telephone before I went to the store. When the item scanned it scanned at R3999.00. I showed the staff and they called the manager that is responsible for the pricing of the items. This was Mr Eroll de Wit. He arrived with eyebrows raised and a threatening attitude. In hand he had the Pick n Pay pamphlet where the price of the item was R3999.00 and pushed it in my face asking me if I cant read. I showed him the price on the shelf of R3699.00 which he then removed. (I took a photo of the price on the shelf) I reminded him of Pick and Pay's Scan right policy on which he ignored me and told the staff to give it to me for R3699.00. I told him that was not the policy and he threatened to through me out the shop. I called the customer care line and they called the shop manager and said she will call me back. Up to date I have still not received a call from the manager. I assure you that I will not rest until this is resolved.
