Disrespect of customers personal details

Hi there

Please understand that I work in retail and I will never use Hello Peter unless I really feel its a must. In fact... this is my first complaint via Hello Peter.

I closed my account with woolies a few months ago because of poor service, but I am still being charged with insurance costs which I never signed up for. So today I thought..let's try Woolies again. The girl at customer service told me that my account is still active but my card is blocked because I was issued with a new one that I never received. She asked for my cell number, postal details, email and ID number so that she can give me a temp card. Got my temp card, did some shopping and had to go back to customer care because the card was declined... just to find my personal details lying at the till for anyone to take or see. I would not have been so angry if my ID number was not on there! It is totally unacceptable.

Also, I do feel that it is really unprofessional for the frontline manger/supervisor to shout at the cashiers because they are making too much noise when there is a line full of people staring at them. It is awkward and embarrasing for the cashiers as well as the customers!
