You are not doing the customer a favour!

Today my wife and I wanted to buy my son a present at Game Lephalale. We looked at all the tablets on display. When we chose one we were told that it is out of stock and discontinued. We looked around for something similar and when we eventually found something there was no one in sight to help.
I went up to the cashier at electronics and asked for help, she said she will call someone. We waited some more and I went back to the cashier. I asked her if she or the gentleman sitting at the computer, Nicolas could help. Nicolas told me that he cant help and that I must wait because whatever he was doing on the computer had a deadline. I asked him to call me the Manager. He first ignored me and I demanded to see the Manager. Nicolas and the waranty consultant, started giggling as if this was a funny affair. This gentlemen had the attitude of a person thinking he is doing the customer a favour by being at work. Eventually the Manager came who assisted in a very professional manner, thank you. Just wondering if Nicolas would treat customers like he treated me if his Manager was watching him...
