Second month and debit order still faulty

I got a snotty letter telling me I'm behind with my payment. First of all it is a debit order that is supposed to go off every month. The first month the debit order returned because some clever person captured my banking details wrong. I phoned account queries and the guy I spoke to said he rectified it immediately. It's now the second month and once again it didn't go off. I don't know who I must beg or bribe to do their job but this is ridiculous and then they want to send me snotty letters and this is going to affect my credit record as well, who is going to explain that?
