I requested my Builders Account payments go off via debit order from the time this account was opened. I cannot be checking up each month that all of my accounts are paid- hence the reason I choose debit orders. Last month I noted when my bill came, the amount due was not debited, so I immediately paid it to them. I also phoned to confirm that a debit order was in place. They then put it in place. Then again, last week I got an sms stating that due to a technical error', my debit order was returned. I called to clarify this, to be told that they didn't request a debit order and now the account is in arrears. So I confirmed yet again, that by the end of this month the debit order will go off and that was confirmed. So, not wanting to tarnish my credit record, I made the payment which was due immediately and I was further informed that this 'non-payment' will not reflect on my credit report.
The fact that this is an issue, is entirely the fault of Builders Warehouse- and not the fact that I don't pay my account. All I ask is that you rectify this issue regarding the debit orders AND remove the history of the account being in arrears on my credit report for the last 2 months. Thanks
