Birthday Gift: Damaged Adidas tracksuit top

On the 19/11/2013 I walked into Cross Trainer outlet in Sandton City to purchase an Adidas top for my boyfriend who`s birthday was on the 21/11/2013. I did not have time to check the Adidas top as I was in a hurry. When I arrived home & upon wrapping it I noticed that it had been damaged most probably due to it being against the wall. I took it back to the same outlet on the 20/11/2013 to get it replaced. When I arrived and explained the situation to the assistant store manager by the name of Lawrence, he said that I could not replace it as they do not sell goods in "that condition" another sales guy said that my cat must have damaged the top - I do not have any pets. The service of the staff is terrible. When I took the matter further with the head office in Sandton the service was just as bad the buyers said that all their goods are checked before unpacking at store and it could not be replaced.
I have been purchasing all my clothing from Cross Trainer for the last 7/8 years & have even convinced my boyfriend to do the same but from 21/11/2013 I would never walk into another Cross Trainer store, the service & attitude of the staff & management is just pathetic.
