Unhelpful staff and bad customer care

I bought an portable aircon from House & Home today. Leoni was very friendly and seemed like the only staff member willing to work, but unfortunately did not know much of any of the products I wanted to buy. After deciding on a product, I got it without an user manual, no warranty (although Leoni SAID it was a year) and no remote control as stated on the add. Leoni offered to bubble wrap the product for me (as it wasn't in a box), but then couldn't find sticky type and just shoved a big piece of bubble wrap over it, which came off in the parking lot.
After realizing this and phoning the store 45mins later, a snotty girl on the phone did not want to put me through to the manager nor customer care, just said Leoni will call me later.
I now got a call that they will email me a manual, but it wasn't from Leoni and didn't say anything about the remote. I wish I had more time to shop around, I will get my husband to return it tomorrow, as I will never support House and Home again. I will rather plan my time wisely and go else where.
