DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased a new HD PVR remote control for my decoder on 26/07/2013 from I.B.M TV and Video Services because I thought I'd broken the old one. When I got home from the store, the new remote appeared to not be working. I contacted the store and spoke to Tebogo who arrived at my house, pressed a few buttons and the remote was working. I asked him to have a look at my old remote and he refused. My brother did the same thing to the old remote that Tebogo did to the new one and it worked! When I returned to the store four days later to return the new remote, they refused to give me a refund and I was told that "they don't do exchanges on electronic goods" which to me is pure rubbish because a) I didn't use the remote b) I didn't need it because my old one works perfectly fine and c) I asked Tebogo if there was a warranty on the remote and he told me SEVEN DAYS. I have never experienced such poor customer service and would like a full refund or else I'm filing a complaint under the CPA.
