On 28 October 2013 I visited Pick n Pay Hypermarket to purchase a Edge Trimmer. The trimmer was marked at R699, 00. When the item went through the pay point it scanned at R599.00. I showed the staff and they called the supervisor on duty. She tried to convince me that if an item scans for less there is no Scan right guarantee on it. I refused to accept this she took me to another supervisor who tried to sell me the same story. I showed them the scan right guarantee advertised at the pay points. She then said that it is not applicable on electric items, when I laughed at this she then tried to convince me that the guarantee has been cancelled. I insisted to speak to somebody more senior and the first supervisor and I went to the shelf where the trimmers were displayed. There we found the departmental supervisor who gave me the same STORY!!! I insisted to speak to the Store manager and they called a Mr Moses Lushaba (General Manager of the store) he insisted that there was no guarantee if the item scans for less. At this stage I had already taken photos of the displayed guarantee signs in the store and wanted to take a photo of the bar code indicating R 699.00 which he refused. The d
