Offline before closing, swearing at customets

Just before closing time we wanted to buy shoes. At the till we were told it is offline, we needed the shoes as my mom is in hospital. We asked can you please try to put it thru. Aftr the manager had a very bad attitude it went thru. Why does it go thru then? My husband then said TK had a shot attitude and that was when He started swearing at me andy husband saying we had attitudes and went on. What would you do?
