TIME CONSUMING EXPERIENCE- PROMOTION

On Friday 30th August at approx 3pm I shopped at Woolworths Gateway in the clothing dept. On the 26/8/2013 I had been sent an SMS WRewards voucher to save R50 when spending R250 on clothing till 4/10/2013. This SMS had a voucher number that should be used for this promotion. When I got to the till, the cashiers had not been informed about the promotion and had no idea what to do. They called a supervisor who again had no idea - and I showed her the SMS on my phone. She then asked me if she could take my phone with her to the Customer Care Centre to show them the SMS and she would come back to me. This all took time while I waited at the till point to pay for my clothes! She came back (with my phone) and then proceeded to process a voucher for my R50 on the till. My problem is - that the Cashiers were not informed of the Promotion (nor was the Supervisor) and this was extremely time consuming as I had to wait for all parties to get informed and instructed on how to process the promotion. The staff were at all times very polite and apologetic - but had just not been trained.
