2 Weeks to tell me my order is out of stock

On the 9th of January I placed an order with Kalahari for an item that stated it would take 8 business days for delivery. I patiently waited for my delivery which was due on the 21st of January. No delivery, so I called them. The agent I spoke to said that he would call me back within an hour. No call. So I called again. I was told that the item may be "out of stock" but that they would call me back first thing this morning. In the meantime I complained on their Facebook page. Again no call this morning - the second time they had promised to call me and did not. They responded to me via Facebook saying that the item is out of stock and will only be available at the end of the month. I could either wait until then or receive a refund. BEFORE I could respond to this I received an e-mail from them cancelling the order! This has to be THE WORST SERVICE I have ever encountered by any online business in South Africa. I would like Kalahari to respond to the following: - How can they take almost 2 weeks to tell me an item that I have ordered and paid for is out of stock? My advice to the SA public NEVER ORDER AN ITEM THE SITE DOESN'T SPECIFY AS "IN STOCK"
