On 30 Jan I ordered a toy for my son's birthday. The website showed the item as in stock and Kalahari accepted my payment and order. On 4 Feb, I received an email telling me that my order was cancelled because the item is out of stock. I was very upset because time was running out before his birthday.
For this reason I PHONED Kalahari to make 100% sure they have stock before I placed an alternative order for another toy. I was assured by Kalahri that the supplier had 6 items in stock, that they would place the order immediately and that they would try to get delivery sooner to still be in time for my son's birthday.
When I followed up 3 days later, Kalahari confirmed that they have spoken to the supplier and that the item is on its way, but that I would have to wait the full delivery period.
To my lovely surprise, I received another cancellation email the day after it was confirmed that the item is on its way. Apparently the item went "out of stock" again miraculously after it was confirmed before and after placement of the order. I ended up having no time left to buy my boy the gift he wanted, and have not received any response or apology from Kalahari despite an email complaint.
