Can't print the voucher, system offline

A week ago I went to Pick N Pay Maponya to check mont end's special and the machine was not working, The special was: If you buy for R750 or more you'll get 1000 point, so today I came to buy for R1700 and the Kiosk was offline, the cashier reffered me to a guy working @ Cellphone department, He told me that if the machine is not working there's nothing he can unfortunately, Why do they advertise or have the machine if they won't fix it.
