We recently signed up with Chubb (Fish Hoek) for cover as from 30 April (when we move into our new house). Over the past weekend, we have been phoned numerous times on our current landline number relating to alarm going off at the new house (where the current owner stays). It appears Chubb have ignored the requested start date and processed our application early. Their incompetent staff have no idea how to correct this or to escalate the issue to an appropriate manager.

We have explained to their call operators that they are phoning the wrong number and that they need to contact the old number (current owner), but they continue to phone us instead. We were contacted by head office on Monday 22nd April and told that the issue was resolved - but we have just received another call this morning. Absolutely disgusted by Chubb's poor process and lack of urgency to resolve an issue which relates to home security.
