In January, my husband and I moved into my in-laws house. On 09.02.2013, we got a technician in to attend to our alarm and make sure everything was in order. We paid an amount of R1, 644.43 and contacted the office to amend our contact details. As it was weekend, they asked us to call back during the week which was done. My husbands number was given as the primary contact, mine as the second and my father-in-law as the third. Since then, our alarm has gone off a few times. The one time, they took 30 minutes to arrive. Another time, CHUBB did not even contact us at all. Luckily it was a false alarm. We were away last week and our alarm went off on 04 April 2013 just after 12:00 in the morning. My husband and I were not contacted, however my in-laws live on the premises in a seperate house. They heard the alarm and were about to contact CHUBB when CHUBB phoned. My father-in-law told them to get there quickly as he was not sure what was happening - he did not want to go and investigate. CHUBB took 40 minutes to arrive!! My mom-in-law contacted them in the meantime as they were worried. Luckily a false alarm again but this is unacceptable!!! What if there were intruders?
