Impossible to cancel contract!

19/03: I wrote an email to cancel my contract with ADT. I received an email with a ticket number, stating that somebody will call me within 24 hours.

20/03: 24 hours later I called and spoke to Ashlin, who promised that somebody would call me the same day back. Nobody phoned.

27/03: A week later I called again and spoke to Dipalesa at the Johannesburg call centre. She said that Ashlin did not undertake any action to ask somebody to phone me. Dipalesa promised that she would write an email and that somebody would call me. Nobody called on 27 or 28/03.

02/04: I phoned again and spoke to Steven. I asked to be connected directly to his manager, but apparently his manager was in a meeting. He offered to send the manager an email, but I chose to rather respond on hellopeter, since it is clear that ADT's internal communication lines do not work.

Somebody once said to me that it is VERY difficult to get rid of ADT. Another consultant also said that ADT is renowned for the fact that they use all kinds of tricks to prevent users from leaving them. How fair is this?

Please come back to me as soon as possible! I have had quite enough of ADT!
