Unethical practice?!

I have just received a call from a telesales agent from Altech Netstar wanting to sell me the services of a personal assistant who would arrange for all kinds of discounts at various stores. Huge pressure to sign up immediately. When I asked her to email me details of the offer I was told this is a telephonic offer only, accept now or lose it.

This is coercion, and surely not permissable in terms of the CPA? I have a right to know exactly what I am signing up for before I accept. I also have a right to think about it before making a decision.

The call centre agent was very dismissive when I told her that I won't enter into agreements like this. I guess at that stage I stopped being a 'valued client' as she termed me at the beginning of her call.

Time to contact Tracker. Hopefully they don't spam/ their clients.
